This past weekend Castasways RV Resort and Campground hosted its 4th Annual Bluegrass by the Bay Festival. Located directly on the bay with a perfect view of Assateague and Ocean City, it truly is the perfect spot for some good ole fashioned bluegrass pickin’.
The festival kicked off on Thursday afternoon with a local Ocean City bluegrass band. Saltwater Stringband headlined and got the weekend off to a great start. The festival had 16 other nationally known bands as well, including Mill Run, Larry Stephenson Band, The Boxcars, and Lonesome Highway just to name a few. Guests had the opportunity to camp out for the four-day festival and enjoy some great music right up until Sunday morning when the festival was wrapped up with an early morning gospel show by Mark Templeton and Code Blue.
The weekend could not have been better. Good music, good people and a great view.
If you did not get a chance to check out the festival this year, be sure to reserve your spot for next year!
