Well we’re finally getting a taste of summer with these crazy thunderstorms and warm temperatures!  I love heavy rains and then warm sunny days! I think my vegetable garden loves it even more! Strawberry season is headed out, while blackberry and blueberry season comes rushing in! Here’s my new recipe for a blackberry chia seed smoothie. It’s high in protein and won’t send your blood sugar through the roof! Sweet, smooth, and filling, this one will is bound to be a summer favorite!


  • 2 cups fresh blackberries

  • 2 cups almond milk

  • 1 cup ice

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 tbsp. Chia

  • 1 tbsp. Coconut Shavings

  • 1 frozen banana

  • Garnish with fresh blackberries

Instructions: Combine ingredients in your high speed blender and blend on high until smooth.
