On our way back from Easton yesterday evening, we decided to get back to adventuring – meaning that we would try something new, in a new place, a new town. We came across a cool spot in Cambridge, MD – The High Spot Gastropub.
Dining out is absolutely one of our favorite things to do, trying out a new place, eating something we would not have tried at home, and just savoring every moment. When we walked into The High Spot, right away we felt at home. A nice steady crowd in both the dining room and at the bar, with large chalkboards on the wall displaying both dining specials and the craft brews on tap, boasting a great variety of both. Everything on the menu looked incredible, and the prices across the board were beyond reasonable.

Being that Wednesday is Pint Night, we ordered a pint of the Elysian Idiot Savant IPA which includes a pint glass to take home, for only $5. For our meal we ordered the Buffalo Chicken sandwich, perfectly fried crispy with just the right amount of spice in the Buffalo sauce, topped with crumbled blue cheese, and the brioche bun was icing on the cake! The Chicken Salad is a curried chicken, served with a beautiful side salad and drunken apples. We opted to try the Buffalo Oysters as our “dessert” since they sounded like something we couldn’t pass up. Fried local oysters, with the same yummy Buffalo sauce and sprinkled with more of that incredible crumbled blue cheese. Can’t wait to go back and order those again!

Would highly recommend making a stop at this spot, and you can make a day of it on May 12th as The High Spot is putting on the first ever Cambridge Beer Festival, from 1 to 6 pm. Click here for more info.
