2nd Friday Art Stroll began with a candlelit vigil in honor of those who have fought breast cancer. Awards were given to those women who created unique bras, decorated with everything from shiny, beautiful accents to birds nests, and feathers. The streets were full of those celebrating life, and appreciation of the arts.
Octoberfest kicked off its first year with Jefferson Street closed down, food being served by Buxy’s Salty Dog and beer from Burley Oak, Flying Dog and Sam Adams. Lines for both seemed to go on and on, but moved quickly. Berlin succeeded in hosting a wonderful new event, that we hope will become and annual one. Visit Burley Oak Brewery to try their new brews!
