Local Tuesday: Restaurant Week – Galaxy 66

Date night was upon us, and Galaxy 66 was our destination for the evening. Delmarva is full of locally owned bars and restaurants, employing locals, and purchasing local for their menus. Galaxy 66 is one of those establishments, with a creative menu with seasonal options and delicious drinks. We were pleasantly surprised to be reminded that it is also Ocean City Restaurant Week, through October 16th. The restaurants that participate in Restaurant Week offer a menu where you choose 3 courses for $30. For me, it was an opportunity to order more then normal, and have the chance to try a little bit of everything! Started with the mesculin green salad, with goat cheese and amazing pickled onions, that added the perfect amount of tang. Main course was the seafood pasta, full of shrimp, scallops, crab meat with fresh mozzarella  and my favorite of all, creme brulee to complete the meal! Both of us didn’t partake in the Restaurant Week special, but instead enjoyed the award winning cheesesteak…but we shared all of the above to get a taste of it all.

Restaurant Week is a great opportunity to get out and try a local spot that you may have not previously had the chance to enjoy…Get out and support our amazing local spots!
