Jillian Hughes, the artist behind Bombs Over Betty Photography, was one of the first photographers I went to when I decided to take a chance on trying the hobby of modeling over 4 years ago. At the time she was doing a lot of “pinup photography” but as she has moved from one coast to the other, her range of photography subjects has broadened as well. She has photographed many beautiful subjects, both human and canine, and I see her range growing far wider now that she has reintroduced Bombs Over Betty to the west coast. Hollywood, CA, you are very lucky to have the lovely and talented Jillian Hughes! We miss you here on the East Coast, but keep on doing what you do best! Jillian Hughes, aka Bombs Over Betty is a photographer of beautiful beings. Rather she makes her subjects feel the beauty that she sees through her lens. As someone who has been on the other side of her lens, I miss her photographic magic and creative charm. Beginning on the east coast in Baltimore, she took a sabbatical of sorts, moved west, and has now found her place once again behind the camera, and I think she is shining more then ever. Just wish I had the funds to get me to Hollywood for her to photograph me once again.
Founded in 2006 by photographer Jillian Hughes, Bombs Over Betty quickly became one of the most popular pin-up photography studios in the Baltimore, Md., area. Originally specializing in pin-up and Film Noir-style recreation, Jillian has always employed a mixed-media approach to crafting one-of-a-kind images with hand-painted backdrops and colorful wardrobes. In 2010, Bombs Over Betty relocated to Los Angeles with an expanded mission to include high fashion, kids, pet subjects as well as event photography. Jillian is honored to help women feel their most beautiful. She especially loves the creative challenge of making customers off-the-wall concepts into reality.
