Beginning the weekend with a cookout with family and friends on the  bay in West Ocean City was a serene experience. Paddleboarding at sunset, kids running around with that innocent summer loving freedom, takes me back to my childhood.

Taking the Tour de Berlin with the kids was a great way to begin the weekend. Biking the perimeter of town, getting som mid morning ice-cream and coffee from the Berlin Coffee House, buying some fresh baked bread from Baked Dessert Cafe, and ending with lunch on the front porch of the Atlantic Hotel.

The Loaded Gun Customs benefit for Amped Riders was this weekend, with tons of donated goods from local shops to be auctioned off, food and drink and live music, all benefitting the kids that will be attending the the camp this month.

Never did I EVER think we would go to Seacrets on the busiest weekend of the year, but now that Todd is   has a radio show on Ocean 98.1 on Saturday nights, it gave me the opportunity to view the party from above. When the times comes and we as locals get frustrated by the crowds and people who may not always be respectful of our jobs and town, we also must realize that these guys choose to come to OUR home for their vacation, and the money they spend helps our economy.

Finally, a day on the beach, with all-american dinner at home with fireworks going off on either end of our street. Without having to leave the house, that wrapped up a terrific July 4th Weekend.
