Artist, Car enthusiast, Father Jason “JBUG” Wharton was born December 13th 1979 in Salisbury, Md. where he was raised and currently lives. His parents are Barbara and David Wharton, brothers Yancy And Jordan, girlfriend Amy and 4 kids Chris, LaVadi, Jetta and Keegan all also from Salisbury.

As far back as Wharton can remember he was doodling hotrods on school papers and anywhere else he leave his mark. Art has always been a large part of his life, Grandfather Casper F. Wharton owned a Sign shop Casper Sign Studios where everything was hand painted from signs and pinstriping to firetruck gold leaf. Whartons parents Barbara and David Wharton are owners of Salisbury bakery Cakes By David where you may find Jason spending time decorating cakes.

Wharton is a Crew Chief for a local survey firm Parker and associates full time and works on his artwork and runs his sign shop Wharton’s Sign Werks after hours and on the weekends. He is also president and founder of Strictly VW’s Auto Club and has a passion for Skateboarding, vintage Volkswagens, old cars, hotrods, and anything rusty!!

Wharton started pinstriping 3 years ago, what started as a hobby for himself and friends soon received a lot of attention at local car shows.
Jason’s artwork can be seen in a variety of places from murals, toolboxes to the trunk of a 54 Chevy.
